Homecoming 2012: ''Celebrating a Gift for the Age''
In Fall 2012, students, faculty and staff returned to the newly renovated Lincoln Hall. Homecoming 2012 (October 27) will be a celebration of coming home to Lincoln Hall. Prior to the 11:00am kick-off against Indiana, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will host an open house with guided tours with the architect of the renovation and a historical architect, breakfast and a cash bar, open houses in the Departments of Sociology and Communication, a video presentation in Lincoln Theater, opportunities to have your photo taken with Lincoln himself, a timeline of Lincoln Hall, and a time capsule display.
The Department of Sociology will highlight student research and internships, as well as faculty research. Activities will commence at 8:30 am. Tickets (limited availability) can be purchased for $44 in the LAS Alumni seating block for the game. Post-game, the Marching Illini will march to Lincoln Hall for a short program and the Time-Capsule dedication. Lincoln Hall will be open after the game for self-guided tours as well.http://www.lincolnhall.illinois.edu/events/
